Do a search of the web for a site that is comparable to yours. Introduce yourself via email to the of your chosen site. Request a link. Generally webmasters do not mind a link exchange. Slowly but surely work your way up to the higher ranking sites. The Google sites that rank high will benefit you. Google will notice you if you have links to these high ranking sites. You have to be careful though. Some webmasters are fussy. Especially if they feel that a link to your site will not do anything for them. That is when you may have to bargain.
